P2289, just quit
Over the past few weeks, there are times when I turn the key, the engine turns over, but doesn't start. It starts on the 4th or 5th time I turn the key. I tried pushing the fuel cut off switch and it will usually start right up after I push it. It doesn't seem to matter if the engine is hot or cold.
Then today, my truck lost power if I went past 50% throttle or so. It drove normally with less than 50% throttle, but any more and it just bogged down. Then it just shut down. I stopped, turned the key, and it started up again. I am getting a P2289 code. I was on Banks 6-Gun Level 3 when this happened. Any ideas? |

That's an ICP code, yours might be or have gone bad.

So how do I know? Do I have to take it in?

With the code you got and the symptoms you stated, I would be almost positive that your ICP is done. It's fairly common, hell I had the same things happen to me on the work truck. You can buy a new ICP sensor and a new pigtail and replace them for cheaper than what a dealership would charge you to diagnose it.

Its funny - I searched the code and came up with a post I made about the same thing happening on my 6.0! Seems to be a problem child.
Where is it on the 6.4? |

Ahhh so you have a 6.4, I guess I should have asked that earlier. lol
I'm not too sure where it is on a 6.4, sorry. |
