truck broke down. need help asap

My truck broke down today. We thought my wife ran out of diesel. Its 11 40 at night so I can do a whole lot but... Its a 99.5 7.3 auto with a 6 pos chip. Its running rough, doesnt rev smooth, pours out white smoke and knocks. Any ideas. I am going to run codes tomorrow on it. It was low on fuel when it died but we put fuel in it and now its running like ****. Help me. Especially if you are in mid TN like franklin.

I hate to say this but it really does sound like it has had gasoline put into it.

the turbo spools fine. Think maybe a ic pipe came loose somewhere??? Im gonna run codes on it in the morning and see what it says. My MAP sensor has been bad for a few weeks and I haven't had the money to buy a new one. But it ran fine with a bad map sensor.

I agree with Chris. Let us know what codes you get.

Fill the tank up completely. Then just let it run. To me it sounds like the fuel system has not fully bled yet. It can take some time to get all the air out of the fuel system.
