2005 F350 Still not starting Please help!!!!
I really need help before I take this truck out to the field and use it for target practice! I have a 2005 F-350 with the 6.0 and up until recently it has been a pretty good truck. About 2 months ago my EGR cooler plugged up so I did an EGR delete kit and Oil Cooler. It worked really well for a few weeks then just died on me one day. I towed it home and started tearing it down. I found that the gasket to the oil cooler cover failed and filled all the screens with little pieces of it. I went through eveything and replaced all the screens, replaced all the gaskets with OEM parts, put it back together and it still wouldn't start. I towed it to the Ford Dealer, they told me it is the FICM. I Towed it back home and installed a FICM, still no start. I towed it back to the Ford Dealer they told me it was the HPOP. I towed it back home replaced the HPOP, stand pipes, and dummy plugs. Still no start. I am out of ideas, PLEASE HELP!

Are you able to get ahold of someone with autoenginuity? That will narrow it down. Since you replaced alot of the big parts, it should be something fairly simple.
When breaking it down that far, it will take forever to prime the oil rails while cranking. It will sound kinda stupid while it is turning over. If the system is primed up and still won't start, try unplugging the ICP sensor on the passenger side valve cover. If it fires up, replace the ICP sensor. |

Thank you very much, I will give it a try.

I've got a 2006 F250 6.0 that I couldn't get started today. I'm thinking it's ficm or fuel pump. Pump seems to run forever after glow plug light goes out. Did you get your truck running?

It is not running yet

When you replaced the screen because of damage, did you remove the IPR valve and check it for damage? That's exactly where the debris would have went.

Thank you, that is a great thought. I did check it but it is probably worth taking a second look at, or maybe I'll just replace it.

Have you had any luck? Mine has similar issue. Did egr delete, stc fitting upgrade(hpop), and replaced oil cooler. Started twice and died both times, hasn't started since then. People keep saying you have to crank a long time, but I've run the batts down 3 times now. Seems like we might have same problem, hoping you've figured something out.
