Coolant in intake pipe??? Leaving out of town tomorrow.
New member here.
![]() I have a '03 6.0. I was cleaning my air filter this morning and notices about 8 BB sized dried coolant spots inside the intake pipe of my Airaid intake. It has puked out of the cap since I drove it off the lot. History: 135,000 miles Turbo & injectors replaced @ 92,000 Edge Juice w/attitude display 4" Magnaflow exhaust Airaid intake The truck has never ran hot. Always middle of the gauge. No driveability issues. Just these 8 dried coolant spots, and the ongoing coolant puking (I think I run my surge tank too full). I am leaving on a long trip tomorrow A.M. (I hope) ![]() Thanks for any help, James. |

Do you have the revised sticker on the surge tank? If you dont the old min line is now the full marker

No, I just found that info today. I assume this is the reason for the puke, as I've had no other problems. I'm just not sure if the coolant was blown on the air filter and sucked in, or if it's coming from inside out. I really doubt that it could splash out due to the velocity of air going in.
Thanks, James. |
