ipr removal 99 7.3

I have a 99 7.3 litre im trying to get the IPR out of but dont know if it'll take a special tool or not. I know it's a 13/8 hex but dont see anyway to get to it.
Do i have to remove the HPOP?

hey man, ive actually dealt with this problem twice. go get a deep socket 1 1/8" and take that and your new IPR to a machine shop. and have them drill out the hole enough so the socket will go around it. ive done it that way and ive just used a vice and drilled it out myself. after the socket fits, its super easy. just take a piece of pipe and put it on the end of your wrench and VOILA.

Thanks Dieselhate for the reply. I finally found an old 1 1/8 craftsman deepwell socket with real thin sidewalls I had in my box that fit it perfectly after I took the coil off the IPR of course. If I remember to tonight I'll post the socket part number just in case anyone else needs it. Thanks again.
