Broken glow plug
broke a glow plug on the passenger side in the rear of the engine. the piece is big enough to get needle nose vice grips on but refuses to budge. ive tried pb blaster, twisting, pushing, pulling, and have been unsuccessful... i dont really want to take the head off considering i dont have a place to do it myself and dont have the money to have someone else do it. am i ok to run it with the one plug inactive?
the piece of the plug that is in there is the hollow tube where the wire runs through and the tip that heats up. the sleeve with the threads came out |

I'm fixing same problem.. if that one comes loose, and gets into cylinder, could be bad news. I ended up getting the tip loose, and is now in cylinder.. working on getting head off now. UGH.. I'm at the part where I take the injectors out. I built a temperary shelter to work under.. it's blown appart 3 times so far. this sux. I need a shop. day by day.. I'll get'er dune. i hope. just the parts are going to be a couple hundred.
