2005 6.0 false overheating
Hello i have a 2005 f350 dually 6 speed, it has 114xxx on it, today i was driving and "check gauges" came up on the display and the fan clutch engaged, everything looked good then after a minute the temp gauge topped all the way out into the red so i pulled over and shut it down, popped open the hood to find everything looked fine, coolant level was at the min mark and the engine wasn't really that hot. so i got in it and started it up temp gauge went back to normal. but the fan clutch was still engaged. about a minute or so later it did the same thing. can anyone help me with what this could be?

May check wiring harness for rubbing, I know there have been issues where the wires run across the top of the engine they will rub and short out causing several problems.
