Oil seeping from Head gaskets 6.0

Hey everyone , i have to bring the truck 05 powerstroke 6.0 to the dealer thanks to my Zoodad mishap ( See Perf sect if interested ) I thought ive seen some oil spots so i went under it to find oil is leaking slightly from the head gaskets , im going to bring this to the dealers attention regardless as the truck is under warranty the motor has around 30K on it ........Anyone have any info on this . The truck leaked oil from the front cover when new , dealer fixed it then the turbo went Fixed now this ...................Im begining to almost dare i say wished i bought the Chevy , not really but this crap is annoying .

I feel you pain, I wish I stuck with a Chevy. I've driven probably over 400,000 miles with different Chevy's and never once had a breakdown except for a flat tire. My sick point ooh powerstroke has been repaired more times than all of my Chevy's put together in 26,000 miles. I heard a crazy rumor that a diesel motor should last up to a whopping 26,001 miles before it needs replaced. If your heads are going to be removed I suggest you ask the dealer to put in ARP head bolts. These bolts are supposed to be super strong and greatly help you to prevent blowing head gaskets again. The bolts are cheap even if you had to pay extra. When, not if you have to do this out of warranty, I was told it's about $4000-$5000. Ouch!!!! And you thought a diesel oil change was expensive.

You should have gotten a 7.3 but then you'd have to worry about the trans going on you. Unless you got a manual trans.

This was posted on 10/22. You must have it back from the dealership by now....what happened? get it fixed?

The second poster is right though....if it's not too late get the ARP head 'studs' installed.

I just searched through the 6.0 performance threads back to Sept. and didn't see it.

That's why I wanted to read it too....

I'm assuming maybe he drilled through something? I don't know, but i'd like to.
