truck won't start cold, help!
This is getting old!
My truck will not start when the oil temp is below 40. I plug it in till it gets to 40 and starts right up. Otherwise it just wont go. I wait at least 90 seconds sometimes longer for the glow plugs, turn the key and it wants to start, chugs about 5 or six times then quits and wont do anything but chug while the starter is turning. Runs great when warm no problems.
Here's what ive done...
Previously to the cold weather the truck got one new injector, new undervalve harness and four new glow pugs on right side.
Since the cold weather and not starting...
Brand new interstate batteries
Brand new glow plug relay(has 11.7 volts comming out of it)
New icp sensor
new oil and filter(5w40 Rotella shell)
New fuel filter
What else could be causing this? fuel pump bad? heater in fuel bowl not working? How can I check that? I cant plug this thing in when I go hunting! Help Maybe it's time to take it to the stealership.
