HELP ERROR 603 TRUCK DONT START
HI IHAVE A PROBLEM I HAVE A 2000 F250 DIESEL WITH A ERROR CODE 603
AND DONT START I HAD THE TRUCK PROGRAMED WITH THE SUPER CHIP COMPUTER AND WELL I DONT KNOW WHAT'S THE PROBLEMO ANY HELP THANK YOU. BY THE WAY HAS NOT STARTED IN 6 MONTHS

P0603 Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error

Usually get that code from a programmer installed. I think I have seen on here that can also mean a bad pcm. Give us some more info if you can. Is that the only code you get?

YES THAT'S THE ONLY CODE I GET I DONT KNOW WHAT'S THE PROBLEMO IT WONT START IT DOES CRANK BUT WONT START NEW GAS PUMP NEW GAS FILTER NAY HELP NEW BATTERIES THANK YOU |

do u get a glow plug light? if not its a good sign ur comp is toasted

603 is not a problem, it simply means the computer has been reflashed or lost power, nothing to worry about. Agree with above post, if wait to start light no come on them good chance the computer is unhappy. If it does come on then see if the tach moves any while cranking, if not it may be a bad cam sensor and they do not always throw trouble codes. Also check the HPOP reservoir and make sure it is near full of engine oil.
Why did you put a "gas" pump on it, was the original fuel pump not building pressure? Is the new electric fuel pump building at least 50 psi? Last edited by alabamafrog; 10-22-2007 at 11:12 AM. |
