Newbie Needs Glow plug help
Trying to diagnose my 97 F-450. Hard start when cold even when its not that codl even at 40 degrees starts miserable. I know how to test glow plugs havent yet and the relay also havent yet. My confusion comes in with the hpop? Ive searched looking for answers as to what this is It obviously has something to do with injector pressure but ive seen glimpses of people draining it? Well if i have one of those let me know pardon my lack of knowledge nothing is more aggravating then reexplaining something you have alreayd mentioned a gazillion times. This truck runs amazing outside of the hard start. 3 years trouble free.

hpop = high pressure oil pump. It is what actuates the injectors. if the truck runs good and no problems with start up when warm I would not think hpop issue.
I'm not sure how you test glowplugs but my bet would be glowplugs or glow plug relay. |
