ok, so i was driving the other night and my truck just died like i shut the key off. i can crank, crank, crank and nothing. i have no wait to start light, no check engine light, GPR not clicking on, nothing. so we hook up a scanner and it wont connect to the truck. reading on here it sounds like it is the PCM?? i pulled it out of the truck tonight, it doesnt smelled burned and doesnt have any signs of burning up. it is a F5TF-12A650-FJ BEG8. if have been looking and looks like it is going to be the double the cost of any other PCM. my main concern is #1 does this sound like PCM failure and #2 can i use another PCM as long as it is made for a 5sp tranny. please help guys, i have a job sat that i have to haul my skid steer 50 miles to go work......
