2002 7.3L popping sound near intake and valve cover loud

was driving normally from red light and heard a pop kinda like a hose busted and nothing at that moment kinda sounds like a exhaust leak..stopped in fast food drive thru and soon as i pulled out it starting popping really loud like a spark plug blew out..obviously it doesnt have them i know but that is the sound its making close to intake and valve cover on drivers side..any help will be great

mine was a bent pushrod, leaving intake valve open
easy fix, remove valve cover and run engine you should be able to see which one is bent
