egr problems
I just traded for a 2006 f250 powerstroke. Of course all kinds of egr codes. I've thought about a egr delete but man it is alot of work. Could I just not get like a sct sf3 tuner and turn off egr and tack weld egr valve to stay closed?

Should have dealt with the codes before you agreed to the trade. Tack welding the EGR valve doesn't protect you if the EGR cooler starts leaking. Also, if you have a bunch of codes the EGR valve and manifold are probably loaded with soot. Doing a full delete isn't that hard, just a little time consuming. If my teenage son can do it on his uncles truck you can do it on your own truck. LOL
