Need help 6.0 no white smoke total loss of power

So I started my truck and was pulling my horse trailer and was backing the truck to drop the trailer and my trick started acting like it was starving for fuel and shut down I had a full tank let the truck sit for twenty min and started up rough got on the throttle and got the trailer backed went for a trail ride came back truck acted fine what would cause this and now the truck is acting completely sluggish but still no white smoke or blown boost boot please help

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?
