well boy s its been a few days since i got that new pump in but fellas you guys made the insatllation sooooooo much easier, the 32mm wrench was dead nuts on gettin that banjo fitting loose, and loosening the fuel filter housing was instrumental. Another job well done and I owe it all to you guys!! Thanks a million!!!! And guess what, no freaking leak anymore!!!

What the part is called I have no idea. But, it is between the two fuel lines coming off the back of the heads and the fuel filter housing, you know where they meet into a banjo bolt fitting. Is that the fuel pressure regulator or is it something else? Please some one help me I dont want my baby to catch on fire!
HM!
i have a 95 7.3 turbo, which just died on the road, with quite a fuel leak underneath. My truck has 200 kms. (i'm in Canada, Quebec).
there are two blue short hoses 3.5 inches or so, going from the fuel pump to the fuel filter pot. They are special rubber, to withstand 70 psi., and extended heat. A trapezoidal shaped sheet cover snaps onto these hoses, with plasti clips. Just pry up on it, it will come off. You probably won't see the leaking hose, as i does so, probaly just under pressure. Even with it in my hands, i could barely figure which of the two was responsible. But they vent-out through time, and eventually crack open. Don't wait until one busts-out, as you will run out of fuel, and empty the filter bowl, in which there are two heating elements, which will burn-out, if run dry. Here, they sell for 100 bucks each. Theses elements are onto the same circuit as the glow plugs, through a 40 amps fuse. (wait to start lamp). It probably is a good idea to replace the fuel pump while youre at it, depending on your mileage. It can be replaced without removing the turbo. (i succeded, with patience and a 1 1/4 inch closed wrench.) Anyway, that fixed my problem, and i sounds (reads) pretty much like what i experience. Have a look onto that, and please quote back if any succes ! good luck !!
