fuel in coolant how far can I drive.

Hey all here is my situation,
Towed a jeep from virginia to georgia for a buddy that was moving. About half an hour from his place i start smelling desiel pretty bad. I get to his place and find my degas bottle filled 3/4 of the way with fuel, it had been spewing from the rad cap all over. I siponed out about a gallon of fuel from what was in there and worked some out of tge engine by starting it for a min. Or so and now there doesent seem to be a significant buildup over 15 min of driving. I have been staying at my buddies since friday waiting for shops to open and have been doing research. Looks like it is most likely injector cups as i have no oil in coolant or white smoke. Oil doesent smell like desiel and looks normal. I know this will cost an arm and a leg at a shop. But i dont have tools here to do it and dont want to stay here untill the parts arrive. I thought of driving back the 8 hours home stopping every 30 min or so to siphon any fuel out of the degas so i can get to my tools. I was going to take along a new rad hose set and maybe loop the heater hoses as well. Any thoughts on this? I am in warner robbins Ga. I dont know how long it was leaking as it was ok at the start of the trip (8 hours)

Truck is a 7.3l in a 2002.

As an update, siponed the fuel out of the degas bottle and refilled to min line, in the 30 min drive to the shop it leaked enough to fill the degas bottle and cause it to start spewing out. In the shop now getting all fixed up. Not bad was quoted $1005 to replace all 8 parts and labor from nextran truck. They seem like good guys that know ther stuff.
