6.0 Oil cooler replacement

I am replaceing the oil cooler on a 04 6.0 and was cleaning the housing in the parts washer and found a BB/check ball. I dont think or see a place for this to go but just want to make sure that it doesnt have a hidding place in the cooler housing. I think its from somthing else but dont rember what the last thing i was cleaning up.
