Oil filter cap

I have a 2007 F-250 6.0, while changing the oil today I stripped the 36mm nut on the plastic oil filter cover with my socket. First time this has happened and I can't think of how to get the plastic cap off. Can't find a 36mm or 1 7/16" extraction tool on the internet. Can anyone help?
Many thanks.
