A whole mess o' problems, please help

Hi All
So, here is the situation. I have a 96' F250 7.3L Diesel PowerStroke with some problems. Here is the list:
1. I need to use a spry start in the air intake every morning, even if it is not that cold, usually after that it will start fine the rest of the day. (I have been doing this for about a year now, I know this is bad, because I think some glow plugs are fried)
2. recently it has started shaking violently, lose power, and then die, usually shortly after starting but not always. Not sure what this is about but this is the most serious problem as it has happened on the interstate!
3. The "Water in Fuel" light came on about 10 days ago but I ignored it because the truck was running fine at that point and there have been other warning lights coming on recently that wont go off, ie ABS light and the E break light.
Some history: I live in Washington where it is really wet all the time. I left my truck for about 6 months when I was traveling and have been back for about a month now so there is a good chance there is actually water in the fuel. I have perged the fuel filter but I didn't notice a difference. tomorrow I am going to replace the fuel filter and add a fuel conditioner to a fresh tank of diesel.

Anyway, any thoughts or ideas would be extreamly helpful
Thanks so much everyone
Geoff

1. from everything I have read stop using the spray! Check your glow plug relay. Not sure about your truck but mine is located on top of the motor beside the fuel filter. Check your glow plugs. You can search both these fixes.

2.IDK, except maybe it due to the fuel, 6 month old the fuel could have water in it and it could have jelled. Change the filters and fluids, oil too.

3.change filters and drain the fuel tank.....thats where I would start.

Good luck.
