1999 Powerstroke help!!

Hi guys I'm a newbie to this forum. I am in need of some help. Got a 1999 ford powerstroke with a bad miss in it. The guy that worked on it before me tried all new injectors but it didnt help at all. So the owner called my buddy and me to try and fix it. Took both valve covers off again and turbo. right head seemed to be ok but the left head we noticed at least 2 bent pushrods and 1 that had completely snapped in 2 which I'm thnkn is probably the cause of the miss. Plus we noticed the compressor side of turbo the fins were kind of bent and there was oil in both exhaust ports on the turbo. I'm wondering what would cause the pushrods to snap. did these engines have weak ones? Is the oil in the exhaust of turbo because of the miss in the engine. obviously i"l have to get a new turbo too cause of the fins. I'm thinking I might try another turbo and some new pushrods and see what happens. This truck is an old work truck and therefore not worth a whole lot. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! thnx Ben

I think a valve or valves kissed the top of the piston.when that happen a valve broken, a pieces were sent thru the turbo and the push rod bent when the valves kissed the pistons too.
