2004 6.0L Hard starting

Hello All,

I figured you guys could help with this problem. I am in charge of vehicle maintenance at our ambulance service. We have a 2004 ford E450 ambulance that every once in a while will not start. It will crank endlessly and will not fire. The batteries are fully charged. The rig is kept in a climate controlled garage. If you squirt a very small of starting fluid in ( Yes I know this is bad for the engine and should never do it but its cheaper for me to do it than pay $100 for the tow company to come out and do the same thing.) the air intake, it will fire right up and run just fine. The oil gets changed regulary, along with the fuel and air filters. Its been in the local ford shop 4 times for the problem and they kept saying that there is nothing wrong with the rig and they can't figure it out. Its already delayed our crews a few times and I don't want it to keep occurring. THanks
