Honestly this isnt probably gonna be pretty..... There is the high pressure fuel pump, low pressure fuel pump, whole high pressure fuel system, injectors, etc that all could potentially be damaged. Id be really worried about that high pressure fuel pump.....this isnt like the 6.0's and 7.3's that more often than not could just be cleaned of the gas and run on diesel without an issue... |

I did the same thing late one night put 40 gallons of gas and drove it didn't run well or long got it towed to the dealer they drained the tank refilled it with proper fuel ran it for awhile. I picked it up haven't had a problem since. The towing was more expensive than the repair. They told me a gallon of gas in a diesel once in a while wont harm it 40 gallons not so good
