Programing a FICM???

What goes into getting your FICM reprogramed? Does the dealer need the whole truck or can i take it off send it to the dealer and bring it back when they're finished with it. The reason I ask is because my truck is doing the same thing it did 2 years ago when I got it. Every once in a while it will act like it wants to take off and go without pushing down on the pedal. The tone of the engine will change and the idle speed is about 900 rpms if you come to a stop. I'm thinking FICM is putting too much fuel into the cylinders. I've scanned it for codes and nothing. I even looked at the 3 stages of the AP and they all match. If anyone knows anything or has any suggestions i'd appreciate it.

Let me guess it's a 03 or early 04 6.0L if it is there's nothing wrong with your FICM it's your ICP sensor it's probably leaking oil you will need to replace the connector as well.
