Key...ignition...turn.
No really I don't know what else to look at. I'm sure that there's someone here that's still sober.:beer2:

With mine, when it wouldn't start, I thought it was the batteries, charged em and no go, turned out to be the starter, gotta spin the engine fast to start it.

Easiest steps first, check your oil, make sure it is full, then check the oil level in the HPOP. Then I would check to see if your getting fuel.

Also, do you hear your glow plug relay cycling, and have you checked to see if the computer has any codes?

If my memory works like it used to, There is an bolt on top of the HPOP (high pressure oil pump) you pull it and look inside. If it is low, add some oil directly to the pump.

But that is from memory, hopefully on of the techs will chime in, But I think most of them went to Diesel in the Desert. I'd be there if I didn't have to work.

I don't have a code scanner. I heard the Ford has to have a specified reader to retrieve all the codes. How do I know I'm getting the right thing?

Well, I know autozone's won't get all of them. I use a snapon, but don't recomend buying it just for one vehicle, Cost about $5,000 with all updates to 07.

As for any other types, I don't know.

Can someone post a pic of what the HPOP looks like on a 6.0?

My batteries are definitely weak. Were the OEM batteries Motorcraft and do they look just like the ones in the autoparts store? Who makes the Motorcrafts batteries?
