1996 glow plug tip broke off
I am trying to help a buddy out. He decided while its nice out and not -10 to replace the glow plugs he got a couple out fine on the third one it came out with a little more force but the tip was not on the plug and is still down in the hole any advice at this point. That does not involve pulling the head on this pile. Thank you for any advice you can give me.

I had this problem the what I did was took one of the old glow plugs and too seen how far I could punch the center down berfor it pushed out. Then I tapped it down the head of broken one in the head not going too far, then drilled and die grinded out the center till I could get an easy out in it.You must take out injector, and u should drain the gas and oil out of the head first.it took about 3 hrs but it did come out.Hope this helps god luck.

If it is still in the hole I useally crank it and let the compression push it out. Just don't push it in any farther and becarefull sometimes they shoot out like a bullet.
