02 7.3 Rough idle, surge/shudder under load

All mods are in signature. To date Ive replaced #8 injector, UVCH, ICP, CPS, changed oil and fuel filter and nothing has helped. I have had the truck scanned at the dealer twice, the first time they said the #8 was bad so stupid me I replaced it. When that didnt fix the problem, I went back and they scanned it again and after having the truck for 2 min they told me the IDM was bad because it was coming up with bank 1 and 2 faults. (they didnt tell me what codes they pulled)

Can a misfire be caused by a bad IDM?
The truck runs great besides a slight misfire and shuddering under light load (40+ mph with light throttle pressure). It doesnt smoke at all (other then black smoke when I get into it) and starts just fine.
I NEED to get this thing running right ASAP. Any help/thoughts/comments are greatly appreciated

Edit: I forgot to add I can feel the miss taking off from a stop if I take off slow enough

IDM = Injector Driver Module, so yes, it could.

You really should get it scanned by a good scaner and go from there, but I would guess either a bad UCVH or a "Going out" IDM.

Thanks for the reply! I've had the IDM out of the truck and took it apart and didnt see anything out of ordinary, no water damage or anything burnt. I will however see if I can get my hands on 1 that I know works and see what happens. As far as getting it scanned again, I dont know anyone that has a good scanner that will work on these trucks and I cant afford to go to the dealer again right now

One more thing to check, the harness right under the CCV, where it meets the valve cover, they sometimes fray the wires where the edge of the valve cover is... did you happen to check the harness? (10mm bolt)

I have checked it and didnt see anything wrong with it but if I get time tonight, Im going to do an ohm test from that point to the valve covers. I have had both valve covers off and all wires looked good but I just went ahead and replaced the driver side uvch when I did the #8 injector and nothing has made a difference so far.

So I tested every wire in the main engine harness and everything checked out ok. I also took both valve covers and all the injectors seem to be squirting the same amount of oil. I was thinking tho, when the dealership did the buzz test, everything buzzed nice and loud yet they said the IDM is bad? I thought if it was going out it would show on a buzz test. I could be wrong.

Update

I replaced the passenger side UVCH today so now both sides are new and it didnt make a difference. I did notice that the #8 injector seems to be squirting less oil then the rest but im assuming thats because of the way they are set up. Who knows, maybe I got a bad reman injector from the dealer

Well the truck still isnt fixed. I have noticed tho that it runs fairly normal when the truck is cold and gets worse as it warms up.
