loss of power

I have a 99 f250 7.3,just chip it with SCT stock everything.Im getting a growling in my exhaust and loss of power about 2300-3000rpm not all the time just when warm. Any help .

does it still boost, turbo bearings will make a lot of racket in the exhaust

what in the world are you doin to spin 2300-3000 rpm?? 3000 is close to red line. might be normal. hell i dont know, never spun mine that fast

wise guy eehhh. i'm a 23 year old kid with a ts chip and town full of rice burners with tips as big as my stock pipe. it goes if i breath on the smoke pedal (which is alot) but still VERY rarely goes past 2500. oh and

It might not be that high but just before it shifts you hear a growling noise and it feels like it fall on it face.

Check the turbo wheel on the impeller,it may be hitting the housing.also check fuel filter first.you my be running out of fuel.Hope filter is the issue,thats a cheap fix.the turbine wheel might be a different story.
