Dead 6.0
i was goin down the road this mornin to launch my boat and motor stalled.... would not restart and i tried when i got it towed home. Still wont start... motor just turns over... PLEASE HELP ME..... MY NEW TIRES AND RIMS ARE COMING IN TUESDAY AND THEY NEED THE BEAST TO BURN THEM DOWN

do you have any Mods such as tuners or chips. I have had a few customers with the edge programmer have this happen. They disconnected the edge unit and fired right up. Remove any programmers you may have. Lets start with simple stuff first.
Also give us a list of other mods done to your rig

no mods under hood... only mods are suspension and a set of tires and rims on the way. truck just stalled and would not fire up. it had a 1/4 in it according to the gauge but someone said they are known for showing that when they are empty. i doubt that is what it is though

any chance you could get your hands on a code scanner? This could be many things. From HPOP, HPOP sensor, injectors, and the list goes on.
Maybe Marc will see this thread and have some ideas, but I don't want you to start changing parts that arnt needed. I do know you need to check for any codes that may have thrown when this happened

You need fuel my friend! This happened to my friend at work the other day. He had a 1/4 tank showing and it puttered out going up a bridge. He put some fuel in it and it fired right up. By his math at the pump he put 28.5 gallons of fuel in it afeter the episode.
I think I read there is a computer software glitch that sometimes causes the needle to show 1/4 when it is empty. Go get you 5 gallons of diesel and try it. Always rememeber - be prepared - a 1/2 of a tank is empty! Garrett

Hey it's a cheap fix so I would sure give a 5 Gal tank a shot.
Never heard of this software glitch. Learn something new everyday. I love this Bar!!
