Hello, not much of a poster on forums but here goes!

7.3 leaking oil from injection pump area. I think the oil is coming from the passenger side of the pump. I read a post about this in the forum but I was unclear as to what the poster was trying to convey when he said " take it to the dealer or a professional for this repair". He was describing the line going into the pump and the "O" ring as well as the plug on the bottom back of the pump. If there is a special tool to release this line, I would rather purchase the tool needed and repair it myself. I plan on keeping this truck a good while and I am sure this is a repair that will continue to be required. I bought this truck with 90,000 miles and I now have 140,000 over 4 years. The pump leaked oil once before and I took it in for the warranty check-up at 99,000. They claimed to have "rebuilt" the pump but now it's 40,000 miles later and I have the same symptom.

I have also replaced the ICP sensor for a failure and the plug side of the harness for the sensor needs to be replaced. Water was leaking into the connector and the terminals were blue. I am sure this is what caused the sensor to fail and I have not washed the engine since. Is there a pigtail I can get or do I have to replace the harness? I reallly want to keep this engine clean!

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Ford has a pigtail kit to replace the ICP sensor pigtail, or any other sensor pigtails like the IPR.
