Broke down F550 in Monroe Lousiana

This may not be the appropriate forum, but I sure need help here. I have a driver who just called and is broke down in Delphi, La., near Monroe La. Does anyone know of a reputable powerstroke diesel shop in the area who could take a look at my `99 F550 truck? He said it was running fine then lost power and quit. He got a tow to a nearby hotel. I am many miles away and cant get there immediately. I have to either get it to a shop there or get it towed back home in the next day or two. Any help would be much appreciated.

ask him if the tach is registering when he cranks it...if it isnt...get him a cam position sensor and have him put it in on the road....if that does end up being the problem...let me know and ill guide him through the repair..its REALLY easy...

Exclamation call the local ford dealership

if they have a diesel tech that knows what he is doing, he can probably get you going quickly and not be too much more than the "jack of all" you might run in to trying local untrained help in Monroe,la it sounds like a common "synchronizer"-cam postion sensor problem....
Is It RaInInG ?

Ok, heres his description of what driver says happened- Truck was running perfectly for about 400 miles. Stopped and refueled, checked oil and added 2 quarts. Truck ran fine for a few more miles, then started loosing power. Pulled over to side of road and truck quit. Cranked truck again and white smoke came out back and noticed a spinning noise continue after truck quit this time. Truck will crank, but has white smoke and spinning noise (turbo??) continues after truck is turned off. Thanks for advice!!

Dart 505 is way down South West LA. Stump is 180 miles away. I am 236 miles away. What size trailer is he pulling?
Good luck.

Why did he add 2 quarts of oil? First thing I'd look at is the oil level again. These things will just shut off if they get low on oil, but when I say low on oil I mean low... like 1-2 gallons low.

If I was closer I'd give a hand in a minute!
