NEED COMPUTER!

Bought a 2000 F-350 today off of local fleet company. Yes NOT running. Installed batteries, fresh fuel, made sure oil and water was fine.

No start, turned over great. After pulling my hand held code reader out and plugging it in 3 times and reading "error code" I noticed a nice little bracket by the e-brake with nothing in it.

I am trying to locate a computer now, but everyone is asking about numbers off of the side of the computer.

How do I find that with no computer??
According to car-part.com there is about 6 different computers for automatic 7.3L diesel trucks.....

Call the local Ford Dealer, give them the VIN. ANd they can tell you everything you need to know.
