help! replaced pcm no start need reflash?

I have a 99 f350 and after taking it to Ford they said I needed a new pcm. I bought one at a junk yard with the same numbers on it. The truck still won't start (it fires but not on every cylinder or something). Do I need to reflash the computer to get it to start?

We need more info. Start with what made you take it to the shop what was it doing? Do you have any mods fill out yo sig.

No mods. The truck just up and died one day and refused to start. I can't tell you much more than that, besides the fact that Ford said I should replace the pcm.
