Got my money, all set to do a Cummins swap, Scheid Diesel wants 17K to do the swap. I was thinking like 12/13k... Now I'm thinking just stay with what I got and put a rebuilt 7.3 in her. Where do I get one in northern IN?
I need help, what's the best way to go, and who is good, that won't rob you? Stay with the Stroke? Go with the 12 valve? |

You looking for a built 7.3? If not I have a real nice 03 longblock with 160k outside of chicago.

Looking for something I won't have to take out for the next 400K miles. There is a nice looking 7.3 crate engine on thehorsepowershop.com they call the Black Mamba. Anyone heard of them? If I have to I'll get an engine to build up, (so thanks, I'll keep you in mind) but I'd rather buy something I can have put in and be done with it. I already know I going with an ATS tranny. Can't beat that 5 yr/500K warranty.
I want reliable power, and I want it before this one gives up. (It shouldn't be going out at 233K) I'm still pulling down 15 mpg, (for now) but no power, and it smokes like a 2 stroke... |
