6.0/Ford dealership nightmare!!!

I had an egr valve go south on me, but a mile before I was able to replace it, I had a lifter arm go south, causing all hell to break loose. So I took it to the dealer......After the truck has been in the shop for two weeks, these are my thoughts

Excuse my language, but Fu#* the local ford dealership! First of all, if it takes them $3,000 in labor to find that the engine is all kinds of broke, then they may have a problem and may want to hire a new mechanic. Secondly, after I decide to have my truck towed from the shop and they offer me $8,000 for a 2005 crew cab short bed fx4 bad *** grille guard lariat 112,000 miles with a foul engine? Blue book is $23,000 with an engine. Every estimate you give me to fix the engine goes up $2,000 with every phone call. Now its up to $8,000 to fix it, and now that I want to tow my truck the heck away from you, you want me to take $8,000 for the entire truck? A big F to the U! Who in ford can I call to make sure what they are doing is up to their standards and it seems that if a lifter fails after 112,000 miles that they should pony up with me and eat some of the cost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If nothing can be resolved, I smell a destroked attitude about to take over my f-350!!! How can the service manager even ask if I want $8,000 for the truck? Its a good thing I work construction and can go pound a few nails for the rest of the day!

Sounds like the going rate from the dealer,my 250 broke down last week they said it will cost $8000 to fix Iat them came home and priced out everything to fix it came up with $640 in parts and 6 hours to do the labor.I would just contact a few salvage yards and get a price on a used or reman engine and do it yourself for the price they gave you.My opinion, but good luck......
