Help. Steam coming out of exhaust.

My 04, 6.0 superduty has what appears to be steam coming from the exhaust. Went through about 2 gal coolant coming from Laughin to Vegas last night.

Sounds like your egr cooler is leaking. Pull the EGR valve out and check it for signs of coolant.

Well the valve can be cleaned, but thats not the problem. The cooler is whats leaking and it should be replaced or an egr delete kit put in its place.

how are the emissions laws in nevada if you can just do an egr block off kit if they are not ball busters like ca on the emissions

he could do that, but he still needs to get a new cooler either way. Infact i saw a place today that sold "better updated coolers" to still be legal but not have the OEM problems.

Where is the cooler. Nevada emmisions same as Ca.

The cooler is under the turbo on the pass side of the engine valley.
