6.0 won't start after cold temps
I left my 6.0L powerstroke out in the North Dakota winter for 3 days. Temps weren't too bad...around 15 below at the coldest. Plugged in the engine block heater for 24 hours. Still wouldn't start. Pushed it in my garage this morning where it is around 55 degrees. Been in the garage all day with the engine block heater plugged in. The engine just spins! Tries to fire every once and a while, but won't take off. Put some Emergency 911 de-gell supplement in it, still nothing. Need to get to work in the morning with this truck. Truck ran perfect before this. Never had to have it plugged in more than a couple of hours before this. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Have you pulled your fuel filters to see if they are gelled up?

You need to get a scan tool to pull codes and readings while cranking.
Is it smoking while trying to start? Sounds like the FICM is pooped. |
