coolant problems?
i have a two and a half hour drive tonight and thats not bad but the 12 minute drive from my work to my hotel last night made my temp gauge go from 36 to 251. even the dummy guage was pinned. it wouldnt smoke at all like it should have and i damn near had a panic attack getting back here with the guage so high bc i put in an entire resevoir of coolant at 730 last night and woke uip this morning with it empty.
i have no heat at all. bad thermostat? i know that wouldnt cause the leaking but may be the probelms or bad water pump? try to get me in the right direction so that i can get started on something. |

Look under the truck and try to find the leak. If you can't see a leak underneath check your oil for milkshake looking oil. If you are loosing coolant, it has to go somewhere. Either it's leaking outside, into the oil or into the combustion chamber.

I agree, it has to be going somewhere, try pressure testing the system if you cannot find it at cold or operating temp.
