please help im new..engine has rough idle
well my truck was running perfect (just bought it) then i noticed a oil leak from the back of motor, come to find out it was leaking out of the icp sensor...the o ring was bad on the sensor and the thing was barley hand tight!! so i go and get a new o ring and put it right back together.. no more leaks but now the truck idles loppy and even rougher when u put it in gear? any ideas i took it for a good ride and let it warm up if definitely lacks power for sure....
what should i do? take the sensor out and buy a new one>? it was running fine until i took it out to put a new o ring on there. hmmm.. thanks guy i reallt appreciate it |

Scan for codes and get back to us

no codes... with a reader from advanced auto tho

Their scanner wont pull the codes correctly. It needs to be CAN capable. Start a thread over here asking if anyone can scan you in the area.

oh ya, 03 and 04's dont throw a ses light for nothing, ive had 2 egr valves go out egr cooler, oil cooler,(blew the head gaskets) sticking turbo, and one injector. all without a ses. good thing i had a scanner to get the codes.

could be the sensor but i would have it scanned and see what your icp pressure is. and/or what codes come up. it is weird thou.

most scanners only read basic codes, your going to want to get your hands on a ae (auto ingenuity). did you hook that one up yet? if so what did it show.
