7.3 PSD INJECTOR PROBLEMS

I HAVE A 1999 F-350 DUALLY,RECENTLY DEVELOPED A SLIGHT SKIP,HAD BUZZ TEST DONE TOLD POSSIBLY #8 INJ. CAN THESE THINGS BE TESTED FURTHER IN ENGINE OR REMOVED ONLY,ALSO I REMEMBER BEING TOLD THEY CAN POWER CLEAN INJECTORS ON GAS ENGINES,IS THERE A PROCESS FOR DIESELS TO DO THE SAME,MEANING WHILE STILL ATTACHED TO ENGINE.ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS

No, the injectors on a PSD are unlike any other injector. they must be remove to be fully tested........ The HEUI injector has solenoids, valves, etc that can go bad.......there is alot of stuff packed into that injector.......The buzz test tests the electrical side of the injector, did they do a cyl contribution test?

THAKS FOR THE ADVICE,THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS NO, NO FURTHER TEST,JUST BUZZ,BUT ,THATS BECAUSE I ASKED FOR A SIMPLE TEST FIRST,CAUSE I DONT HAVE ALOT OF MONEY TO SPEND,BUT ITS LOOKING LIKE A BETTER FIND SOME I GUESS.

A contribution test is done like the buzz test only with the engine running. It is a simple test.

WELL HAD THE CONTRIBUTION TEST DONE,NOW IT SHOWS #1-#8,QUESTION NOW IS WILL CHANGING TWO AFFECT THE OTHERS.
