HELP Bad diesel????
i have a 2000 F250 7.3 6spd. Was almost on E i went to a fuel station and put in $20 of Diesel. I pulled out and drove maybe 100ft when it started chugging hard i thought i had it in 5th gear at 5mph (thats how hard it was chugging) i then relized i had it in 2nd gear and in 20ft it really started thumping and shaking and then it died, and cannot get it to start back it tried for a little bit but still chugging at very very low rpm. so truck is just sitting there. I thought of bad diesel so i went and got a recipt for the diesel in the truck and i had a 5gallon diesel can in the truck so i went and put $5 in it and got another reciept and i smelled it and i could smell gasoline in it or i think i did and i smelled the gas tank on the truck almost as soon as it started acting up and that was my 1st thought. the lady at the gas staition said that there is no way there could be gas in the diesel ( i have friends that used to haul gas and diesel and they said that there have been times where the driver dumped in the wrong spot) but she said well thats the trucks mistake not ours so blah blah blah. Now my truck is dead and i dont know what to do PLEASE help ASAP.

Contact the owner of the fuel station and let them know what's going on, if it's a reputable business, they will pay to have your truck fixed. If not get some diesel from a good station, drain your tank and your filter housing. Put in a new filter and start it up. Then report them to the BBB. Good luck.
