Truck stalls, dies,then restarts while driving

2001 7.3 cuts out and dies then restarts imediatly. Doesn't throw any codes need to get it fixed asap any help would be appreciated

Have you replaced the CPS (Crank Position Sensor)? You should be able to get this done at Ford for free....there is recall on it.

Yes I did change the cps last year then it quit for a long while . Last month I took it to ford for recall on cruise control then they changed the cps to now it's doing it again has anyone gotten any bad ones?

Hey mine jes started doing that again ! I had some problems with the batteries and tried to start it using the Trans. Ever since then I'll be driving down the road; and it would do that !!! But recently it died and didn't catch back ! I was doing about 80 and it died! I had to put the clutch in turn the key off and RESTART it ! Any Clues ? I already replaced the CPS ! bout 70,000 mi. ago with one from Oreily's ! Taking it the dealer tomorrow to fix the CRUISE ! I'll see if the CPS is bad again !

It's your cps again !!!!!! You need to get the interational listed above and keep a spare and 10 mm in your glove box the dealership replaced mine when they did cruise recall they replaced mine with a junk one and stripped the bolt hole for the holder on it hope you have better luck than I did at the dealership.

Almost forgot this cps is a blueish color not black or grey and they might try to tell you it's not for your truck but trust me it works great
