'96 on roadside rough running/no power
ok, a buddy of mine went and picked up my old '96 stroker from port aransas yesterday to borrow. he starts driving back out here to ft. polk, gets just north of houston, then calls me an hour ago(0400hrs) with this problem. truck started running rough and losing power, shut it off then turn on and runs fine for a minute or two. had him scan it with the superchips in the console, here are the codes: 07-p1748, 06-p0344, 05-p1212, 04-p0340, 03-p1212, 02-p1211, 01-p1728. any help would be great. i am gonna try and cut out of work to go get him and truck in a few hours. what should i tell him to try in the mean time? he is not very motor savy either.

P0340 Inactive CMP Sensor Circuit
P0344 CMP Sensor Circuit Intermittent P1211 ICP Pressure Is Above/Below Desired, Faulty IPR Valve P1212 ICP Voltage Not At Expected Level P1728 Transmission Slip Error P1748 EPC Malfunction It could be a loose connection to the PCM or at the firewall. Or it could be a faulty PCM. I wouldn't expect all of these sensors to go bad at the exact same time, but I guess anything could happen. |
