its a 2000 7.3 with 6speed manual 4x4. I have tried to tighten the pan and the bolts are tight. It looks like it is leaking from the pan gasket. If the pan is leaking how hard is it to change pan gasket?

it could be leaking from the flywheel housing. if it is the oil pan, you need to just about remove the engine to get the oil pan out.
