Accellerator pedal question, need answer quick!!!

I had a earlier post about no throttle response... anyway, i have the problem solved (need a pedal) but now i have a whole new one. I cant get one. Evidently the company that makes them went under. I can get a non adjustable pedal, but my question is will a non adjustable work in place of an adjustable? This truck belongs to a family member in from out of town, and i'm trying desperatley to get her home. if anyone knows i will be forever grateful
