6.0 pSd White smoke and misfire!! need help

i Have a 04' 6.0 psd with 77,000 miles and its blowing white smoke constantly, and starts to misfire when it shifts into OD when I'm just cruising. The white smoke is definately unburnt diesel, not coolant, check engine light isn't on either.. i'm lost i'm guessing injectors? any help diagnosing would be greatly apprectiated! thanks!!

Do you by chance have an afe stage 2 installed? Some of the earlier systems caused things like that with a later ford engine management flash. If not, then it might very well be an injector issue. First, this is a stupid question but are all of the caps/wires on well? Does clearing the computer( in plugging the batts) help any? When it is warm and idles, do you see individual plumes of unburned diesel? Or does it seem to be constant? What does the idle and a higher idle sound to you? Does it have any power loss? Hope this is some help.
