doofus maximus

All,

I did a major doofus last night. I pumped about 18 gallons of gasoline into my F250SD (6.0L powerstroke). realizing what I did at the time, I stopped and put another 5 gallons of diesel in it (to top it off). I suspect i'm right at 50/50 or so.

I plan on draining the tank and refilling with diesel. then after I fill it with diesel fuel, i'll r&r the filters.

I'll probably put the mix of fuel and gas into my Mustang - it's carbureted and may smoke but it will get used versus dumped at the hazmat station....

thoughts/advice please.

Dont run it with a 50/50 mix of gas/diesel. That can cause harm to injectors and I also wanna say possibly blow headgaskets but Im not positive about that.

how can someone make that mistake? i can see someone who never owned a diesel but....... i think i heard someone say on here that you can run a mix of gas and diesel through our trucks but probably not 50/50. thats gonna be a lot of fuel to drain. guess you could use it for a huge bon fire

Local BP station has green pump handle on gas and black pump handle on diesel. I hate going to this station because it is so easy to do. I stopped a guy from putting diesel in his new lexus a couple of months ago. Some stations are bassackwards.
