Wont start- checked usual stuff video included
So quick rundown
has been having problems starting since sunday except for a couple of times but mostly in the morning. The temps here have been 40-60º in the mornings. The truck is leaking oil (a drip at idle) from one of the line on the HPOP (I was planning on fixing that today.) So I cant plug in the block heater because its been sitting in the street at night cause I dont want to mess up my driveway. The fuel bowl is full and it filled back up after I drained it And the HPOP reserve is full And there is fuel in the tank I just changed the CPS (was gray the new one was black, I know I read one was better than the other but dont recall which) And I checked fuse #22 The last few times it wouldnt start jumping it seemed to help, so I assumed it was the batteries, I cleaned the terminals and saw a slight improvement the other day. The only reason I dont think its the batteries is because I tried jumping it this morning with no luck and right now I have it hooked up to a charger (set to quick start) Here are videos keep in mind this is with the charger on it. If I can get it started I want to take it to get the batteries tested. still trying with the vids Oh it cranks but wont turn over Also a few times it just clicked once and wouldnt even crank. seems like the batteries right? but why wont the charger help, or jumping it (I jumped it with large jumper cables hooked up to one of my f550s Last edited by JasonZ; 10-16-2009 at 08:31 AM. |
