need some help fast..

ok so ive been having alot of problems with my truck

to sum it all up its under powered and it wasnt running like it should.
thought it was the fuel system but my buddy at the shop told me it was a digital fuel control moduel...

and he wants like 800 to 1000 dollars for the part and to replace it..

if anyone can help me out and save me some money id be so happy...

i just cant afford to fix her all the time im loosin it...

FICM how much can you find them for? do they go bad. i really dont know if i can afford this truck anymore..
