Hi All, I got a stumper, drove my 03 6.0 to the butcher shop did my shopping, came out went to start my truck ,spun over like it should for a bout 10 seconds and all of a sudden the motor slowed down to bearly nothing and stopped like it was tight. tried it again and wouldn't even make a revolution, checked batteries all good, changed starter just to make me feel better, still the same, seems like a bearing got tight in the engine, any help would be appreciated.

I would load test the batteries to eliminate that possibility, test voltage at starter with key in start position, ect.might have hydro locked due to a coolant leak at egr cooler or worse, could have hydro'd due to a failed injector. try to bar the engine over at the crank dampner bolt, if it does not move, remove glow plugs and try to HAND turn it again. try to avoid cranking it with the starter until you've determined that it isnt hydro locked. the results could be ugly, hope this helps
